HVAC Electrical Technician

• Daily Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cleaning roof top and interior units
  • Changing roof top filters on units
  • Cleaning ice machines
  • Repairing/replacing fan motors, fan blades, exhaust fans, belts, tube heaters and heaters
  • Repair/replace 120-volt outlets
  • Wiring machines with 120/240 volt
  • Running conduit and wiring for lighting in the plant
  • Repair/replace interior lighting
  • Keep building and property in clean and orderly condition
  • Perform routine maintenance activities
  • Perform heavy cleaning duties
  • Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to units
  • Other duties as assigned
• Knowledge
  • Familiarity with HVAC components and systems and the ability to disassemble and reassemble complex systems
  • Prior experience in commercial HVAC is a plus
  • Strong electrical experience of 120/240/480 volts
  • Being able to identify problems and determine how to correct them
  • Experience with using cleaning equipment to clean the units and motors
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and work at heights
• Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is a must
  • Post-secondary education in HVAC technology from a vocational school or community college is a plus
  • Some apprenticeship programs combine classroom study with on-the-job training is a plus
  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial HVAC is plus
  • Safe, productive, positive associate
  • Self-Motivated A Must
  • Team player

Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
