Survey Crew Chief | Field Leadership Opportunity

Position Overview: We're seeking a Survey Crew Chief with solid field experience and strong leadership skills. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for managing field operations, operating advanced survey equipment, and ensuring accuracy and safety on job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead field crews on boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, and as-built surveys

Operate and maintain GPS, total stations, and robotic instruments

Interpret plans, plats, and legal descriptions to guide survey work

Ensure accurate field data collection and proper documentation

Communicate with project managers and office staff to maintain workflow and efficiency

Enforce safety standards and maintain equipment readiness

Qualifications:

3+ years of field surveying experience, with leadership or crew chief experience preferred

Proficiency with Trimble, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and modern survey tools

Valid driver's license and dependable transportation

Strong attention to detail, reliability, and communication

Ability to work independently and take initiative in the field
