ABOUT THE ROLE
The Terminal Operator safely operates all equipment at the location used to unload rail cars and unload/load trucks, ensuring order accuracy and expeditious processing of requests. This person also maintains the equipment and grounds of the site.
WHAT YOULL ACCOMPLISH
+ Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
+ Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment ( PPE ).
+ Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment.
+ Terminal Operators need the ability to communicate with Terminal Managers, customers, sales personnel, trucking firms, and suppliers.
+ Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
+ Carry out tasks related to loading/unloading bulk material, as appropriate for the specific location.
+ Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical maintenance.
+ Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent or 1-3 years of equivalent experience.
+ Basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft programs, and SAP is preferred.
+ High Mechanical aptitude and ability. Knowledge of office equipment. Pleasant and positive attitude working with co-workers, customer
