People Development Manager

Role description:

The People Development Manager works with the business to manage the people development processes, systems, and programs for all business functions in Ardagh Glass Packaging North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform as Learning Management System (LMS) administrator
  • Provide leadership to plant hourly trainers and training support personnel
  • Mentor and coach designated leaders and trainers in instructional delivery methods and measure the efficacy of training
  • Support the Ardagh Glass Packaging apprenticeship programs
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Environmental, Health, and Safety for new hire onboarding training including the execution of technical skills training
  • Research state and local funding grants and track progress with the grant provider
  • Develop appropriate training materials such as one-point lessons, visual aids, Procedures (ETQ), PowerPoints, and videos to include e-learning modules
  • Conduct training needs assessments to ensure all employees' skills are developed
  • Facilitate plant leadership development planning and execution

Minimum skills / qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of experience working in people development
  • Must have prior experience in leading large-scale, system-wide change initiatives
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational development & organizational behavior theories, methods, and applications
  • Ability to take initiative, possess the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment, and have experience dealing with confidential matters
  • Ability to interpret and resolve sensitive and complex issues, communicate, respond, and guide all levels of organizational staff Proficient organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of e-learning software and authoring tools

Preferred skills / qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related discipline
  • Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment with union and safety exposure
  • MyLearning, Articulate 360, and Camtasia knowledge
  • Professional learning and development certifications
