Assembly and Fabrication: Assemble fabricated and purchased parts using assembly drawings and parts lists provided by engineering. Mechanical Modifications: Implement mechanical alterations and additions during the debugging phase to ensure optimal functionality. Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical and controls engineers to ensure machines operate properly and meet design specifications. Non-Repetitive Assembly: Perform various non-repetitive mechanical assembly functions using hand or power tools, ensuring precision and quality. Machine and Sub-Assembly Construction: Assemble machines and sub-assemblies according to design requirements and customer specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards Testing and Documentation: Utilize test equipment to perform functional testing, record appropriate documentation, and maintain accurate test data. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of machine build/assembly experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to travel without restriction up to 30%, including some international travel Strong maintenance and mechanical background with versatility in and around a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of machine assembly and experience with machine shop equipment, including drill presses, grinders, metal saws, and a variety of hand tools. Previous experience with mechanical assembly and maintenance in the automation industry is preferred.
