Fabricator Job Description As a Fabricator, you will spend the majority of your day welding plates to beams and columns that will be used in large structures across the country. You will primarily work with Flux-core and MIG welding techniques on rails and stairs. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on structural components. Ensure precision in welding on beams and columns for large-scale structures. Interpret and work from welding blueprints and weld symbols. Measure and cut materials accurately using a tape measure. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience in MIG Welding and FLUX CORED ARC WELDING (FCAW) or equivalent schooling. Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and weld symbols. Proficiency in using a tape measure for accurate measurements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in structural welding and fabrication. Work Environment Work in a large steel mill environment on a day shift schedule from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Friday, totaling 49 mandatory hours per week. The facility specializes in the fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel on a grand scale, where precision and quality are paramount. The dress code is appropriate for a steel mill, ensuring safety and functionality. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
