Traveling Superintendent

Job Description

The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for monitoring production, schedule, and performance at construction sites. This role involves coordinating various aspects of construction projects as directed by the Project Manager, conducting safety audits, and ensuring contractor quality control and safety at construction locations. The Superintendent will ensure that contractors complete their work on schedule while addressing any warranty issues and maintain communication with the Project Manager to ensure projects are timely and within company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety audits and assist with contractor quality control and safety at construction sites.
  • Ensure contractors complete work on schedule and address warranty issues.
  • Communicate daily status of current projects to the Project Manager to ensure timeliness and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain 100% 'Safety Standards and Accountability' in all areas of mandatory/regulatory requirements.
  • Report and address all potential safety concerns, incidents, and issues promptly.
  • Certify that all submittals are in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with construction process requirements.
  • Review all catalog cuts and material submittals for compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Ensure effective and timely preventive and corrective actions are taken to minimize recurrence of problems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of direct or self-perform concrete supervision experience.
  • Commercial/Industrial project experience.
  • Experience as a Construction Superintendent.
Work Environment

The position involves working on various construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements. It requires frequent travel and interaction with contractors and the project management team. The work environment is dynamic, with a focus on maintaining high safety standards and efficient project execution.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $135000.00/yr.

Willing to pay signing bonus, pay for lodging, per diem. Full medical, dental, vision insurnace.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Cedar Rapids,IA.
