2nd Shift Equipment Mechanic in Memphis, TN**

**Job Description**

As an Equipment Mechanic, you will perform preventative maintenance on a variety of support equipment including forklifts, generators, deice equipment, fleet vehicles, tugs, golf carts, GSE equipment, loaders, UTVs, and trams. You will also repair and modify equipment as needed, perform minor welding, document completed work orders in the CMMS, and use computer systems to manage inventory. Furthermore, you will diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, combustion engines, motors, electrical systems, and electronics, including changing out faulty sensors.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform preventative maintenance on support equipment.

+ Repair and modify equipment as necessary, including performing minor welding.

+ Document completed work orders in the CMMS.

+ Use computer systems to ensure adequate inventory levels.

+ Diagnose and troubleshoot various systems such as hydraulic systems, combustion engines, motors, electrical systems, and electronics.

+ Change out faulty sensors.

**Essential Skills**

+ 4 or more years of experience with heavy equipment or vehicle maintenance.

+ 4 years of experience with hydraulics.

+ 4 years of motor repair experience.

+ 4 years of electronic component maintenance experience.

+ Experience with troubleshooting electrical issues and electronics.

+ Experience with combustion engines, with diesel and small gas engine experience as a strong plus.

+ Ability to read schematics.

+ Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting various equipment systems.

+ Experience with motors, belts, and bearings.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ 4+ years of experience within forklift, fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance, with heavy equipment experience preferred.

+ ASE certification provides a premium pay.

+ Auto/fleet experience considered if candidate has worked on every piece of the vehicle.

**Work Environment**

The role is based in a vehicle equipment maintenance shop near the airport, but not part of the hub. The shop is climate-controlled, and most needs are on the second shift, with 10-hour days from Tuesday to Friday, 1:30pm-12:00am. The dress code requires steel-toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty, with safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, Tennessee.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $27.78 - $48.04/hr.
