Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Panel Builder to support our growing in-house production team. In this senior role, you will be responsible for independently assembling, wiring, and testing a wide variety of industrial control panels and electrical systems according to complex schematics, NEC/UL codes, and internal quality standards. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, mentor junior team members, and support safety and productivity goals. This position plays a key role in strengthening our internal manufacturing capabilities while ensuring consistent quality, compliance, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels, switchgear, and subassemblies in accordance with detailed electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and point-to-point wiring layouts. Interpret complex schematics and wiring documentation to ensure accuracy in assembly. Ensure all builds comply with NEC, UL, and internal quality and safety standards. Receive and verify components in programmed sequence for assembly or testing. Independently assemble all variations of standard and custom electrical products using a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and specialized jigs and fixtures. Perform in-process and final functional tests to verify panel performance, ensuring adherence to performance and quality standards. Document work hours, production activities, and material usage accurately in ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Contribute to division results through consistent execution, efficiency, and quality. Maintain equipment and a clean, organized, and safe work environment in alignment with 5S, lean manufacturing principles, and workplace safety protocols. Lead by example in promoting a safety-first mindset and quality culture throughout the team. Participate in and support daily stand-ups, housekeeping audits, and other continuous improvement efforts. Assist in training and mentoring less experienced technicians when needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical panel building or a related electrical assembly role. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and point-to-point wiring instructions. Proficiency with hand and power tools; familiarity with jigs and fixtures used in electrical assembly. Solid understanding of NEC and UL codes. Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working under direct supervision while showing initiative and ownership over assigned tasks. Preferred Qualifications Technical or vocational training in electrical assembly, electronics, or industrial automation. Experience using SAP or other ERP systems for work documentation and inventory tracking. Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with ISO quality systems or regulated manufacturing environments. Compensation The estimated salary range for this position is $24 to $27. Starting pay is based on several factors, including relevant experience, skills, and work location.
