Project Manager
Job Description

The Project Manager will oversee multiple projects in the DMV area and must be able to go onsite. The first project will be an interior fit-out at the Pentagon.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day field activities to ensure that project milestone dates and overall schedule completion date are met.
  • Create short-interval look-ahead project schedules to ensure upcoming events are communicated, tracked, and proactively attended to.
  • Foster a culture that values safety, health, and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate the work to ensure it is constructed in an orderly and deliberate manner consistent with best-practice standards.
  • Establish and maintain all dimensional controls for the project, including the use of third-party survey and layout personnel when appropriate.
  • Verify that all work is installed in a workmanlike manner, ensuring quality and precision.
  • Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions by looking ahead at least two weeks.
  • Obtain all inspections and ensure that the quality aspects of the physical work are fully documented.
  • Ensure all aspects of the project comply with contract terms and legal requirements governing the project and community.
  • Administer client-specific programs such as CQC, Safety, Environmental Stewardship, etc.
  • Conduct and/or attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.
  • Participate in regular meetings involving internal staff and external stakeholders such as owners and subcontractors.
  • Meet with client representatives regularly to discuss project status, resolve problems, and keep clients informed.
  • Manage self-performed activities to ensure work is performed within the established project budget.
  • Manage changes in project scope to ensure the most contemporary contract documents are used at all times.
  • Assist with acquiring subcontractor proposals to ensure the scope of work is met.
  • Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and agreements to ensure scope, terms, and conditions are met.
  • Manage the punch list and project closeout process to assure timely completion.
  • Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and email correspondence.
  • Provide timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as accounting, HR, and ICS.
  • Direct and manage the workloads of supporting staff, including training, mentoring, and follow-up.
  • Encourage staff to seek out life-long learning opportunities and professional development.
Essential Skills
  • Construction management experience, including general and federal construction.
  • Experience with IDIQ, MATOC, SATOC, and design-build projects.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • USACE Certification is preferred.
  • Experience with interior renovation projects.

The work environment involves overseeing multiple projects throughout the DMV area, including the Pentagon. You will work on diverse projects affiliated with a growing firm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
