GENERAL DUTIES
- Work from blueprints, specifications, drawing and instructions to design, build, remodel, retrofit, and maintain and/or repair structure.
- Determine materials and equipment required for work orders based on blueprints and sketches.
- Prepares layout.
- Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials.
- Cuts materials to measurements using chop saws, table saws, and trim routers.
- Assembles cut materials and fasten together with brackets, screws, and/or nails.
- Marks, cuts, and shapes materials to prescribed measurements; assemble by fastening with nails, staples, dowels, or glue.
- Fits, installs, and maintains finished hardware such as locks and kick plates.
- Inspects completed work for conformance with specifications.
- Participate in the maintenance and operation of the wood shop.
- Be able to understand basic directions in English (required)
- Maintains and repairs hand or power tools and equipment of the carpentry trade by cleaning, oiling, setting, or other processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of experience in remodeling of wood structures; furniture repair or construction; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have basic math skills, and accurately use a tape measure.
- Experience using basic hand tools (preferred.)
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Familiar with the following methods: dowel construction, butt joint construction, and dao construction.
- Must have good eye-hand coordination.
- Be able to understand basic directions in English (required)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand, walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
- Vision abilities requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth
- Required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs. continually.
- May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.
