What does an Mitigation Project Manager with Paul Davis do:

Customer & Stakeholder Relations

  • Proactively deliver exceptional service to customers, carriers, adjusters, vendors, subcontractors, and teammates.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for customers regarding job scope, mitigation plans, timelines, insurance claims, estimates, and issue resolution.
  • Actively participates in customer communication throughout the mitigation process, ensuring a seamless and transparent experience.

Mitigation Planning & Execution

  • Designs and executes effective mitigation plans in accordance with IICRC guidelines and company and carrier expectations.
  • Operates with safety and care for yourself, your team, and all individuals involved in the project.
  • Ensures all work meets or exceeds industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Monitors job progress and quality, conducting at least two on-site inspections per job, with additional inspections for longer-duration projects.
  • Takes primary responsibility for successful mitigation of losses, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Actively participates in the on-call rotation to respond to emergency mitigation needs.
  • Partners with the Mitigation Manager to schedule technicians for your jobs. If no teams are available, they reach out to other resources to cover the job.

Process Improvement & Team Collaboration

  • Identifies and implements initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the mitigation team, enhancing gross margins and profitability.
  • Works collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain high-performance standards.
  • Takes initiative in training and developing mitigation team members to strengthen overall team capabilities.
  • Actively prepares for and participate in mitigation team meetings to drive alignment and continuous improvement.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintains compliance with IICRC, company, and carrier standards, ensuring all necessary records are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborates with Project Coordinators regarding job tasks, resource scheduling, and administrative functions as needed.
  • Ensures that RMS job files and all other platforms are consistently updated every day with relevant job details, tasks, and notes to accurately reflect the project timeline and progress.
  • Actively manages jobs by entering detailed notes in RMS, ensuring no jobs lack interaction or status updates.

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Ensures all required documentation is submitted to estimators for timely estimate preparation and approval.
  • Approves all vendor invoices within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Properly enters credit card receipts daily online for proper financial tracking.
  • Actively collaborates with the administrative team regarding invoicing and collections, providing necessary job details and assisting with follow-ups as needed.
  • Monitor XA/RMS notes, as well as internal communication via text/email, and respond accordingly, updating RMS job files as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in restoration mitigation or a related field, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
  • Strong knowledge of water mitigation, mold remediation, and general restoration processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in restoration industry software (RMS, MICA), Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant systems.
  • IICRC Certification(s) preferred but not required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required on job sites.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including water-damaged and mold-affected properties.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, when emergency services are required.
