Seeking a U.S. Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse to apply for a Welder opportunity with a growing manufacturer committed to precision fabrication and operational excellence. This position is essential for producing high-quality steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components using MIG and TIG processes. Welders will work in a team-oriented environment and report directly to the Production Supervisor.
Pay: $22-$27/hour (DOE)
Location: Northport, AL
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift | 40+ hours/week
Training: Paid training with opportunities for certification

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel based on blueprints and job specifications.
Set up and operate welding machines according to job-specific Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine required welding techniques.
Inspect welds using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment and related machinery.
Maintain clean and safe work areas and properly care for all tools and equipment.
Document work completed, including weld quality checks, equipment maintenance logs, and defect reporting.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of fabrication tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth production flow.
Requirements:
U.S. Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse highly encouraged.
High School Diploma or GED required.
1-2+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
Valid driver's license and forklift certification required.
Ability to read blueprints and operate measuring tools (e.g., calipers, tape measures, angle gauges) required.
Experience welding a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Knowledge of safety and quality standards in a fabrication environment.
Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree or technical school certification in welding or manufacturing preferred.
3-5+ years of welding experience in a high-volume production environment.
Welder certification (AWS or equivalent).
Experience operating CNC press brakes, folding machines, and automatic saws.
Overhead crane certification is a plus.
Bilingual skills are a plus
