P osition: Mechanical Technician

Reports to: Projects Department

POSITION SUMMARY: Perform HVAC, Refrigeration, and Plumbing installs and repairs in and around Cape Resorts’ properties as needed. Perform Preventative Maintenance on all mechanical units.

Full-time employment, on-call availability, shifts could include extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Troubleshooting / Diagnosing technical issues
  • HVAC systems installation and repair
  • Mechanical repairs (i.e. Pumps, Fans, Vents)
  • Boiler & water heater installation and repair
  • Plumbing Supply and Waste Repairs

DUTIES:

  • Perform general repair and preventative maintenance on any HVAC / Refrigeration or Plumbing equipment located on the properties.
  • Report to multiple commercial and residential affiliated properties to source and purchase items for maintenance and operations.
  • Accurate record keeping on assigned tasks and all other work activity is required to track repairs.
  • Work in rotation with other members of department to provide property coverage as required.
  • Othe duties as assigned to include assisting other team members with other trades.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of web-based CMMS, EMMS, BMS and project mgmt. software
  • The ability to research products and solutions for projects.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length and be able to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular and continuing basis, frequently lift 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, work indoors, confined spaces, and outside as needed.
  • The worker, following proper safety protocols and regulations wearing PPE is subject to a variety of physical environmental conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, climbing ladders, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat, chemicals, atmospheric conditions, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certificate.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses & certificates.
  • Must hold a Universal (608) EPA Certification.
  • Must maintain a Valid Drivers License
