We are seeking to hire a Rebar Fabricator for our valued client in Madison, WI!

• 1st Shift Rebar Fabricator works Monday Friday, 6am-3pm

The Pay for the Rebar Fabricator:

• 1st Shift - $18/hr
• Over time pay is paid at 1.5x your rate, after 40 hours per week is worked

Job Duties of the Rebar Fabricator:

• Examines specifications of the customers order using drawings or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
• Pull, cut, bend, weld rebar assemblies to sizes specified to Engineering Prints, in support of schedule.
• Bend and create "Pull-Pins" for cover casting department.
• Stage Rebar material handling skid and storage rack, to support production.
• Assist rebar benders to place, separate, lift and position metal bars for bending operations.
• Assists shear operators in clearing sheared materials from storage racks or to supply stock length rebar for cutting operations.
• Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.
• Packages for shipping. Installs protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

• High School Diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
• Experience with fabrication shop equipment
• Metal working experience preferred
• Mechanically apt
• Hand tools
• Manufacturing/construction environment experience
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• You will be standing, walking, lifting, stretching, twisting, bending, gripping, and grasping throughout the shift
