Job Description We are seeking a Field Engineer to join our team for a large infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective administration of the construction contract and will interact closely with the contractor's team. Responsibilities
- Provide oversight for all inspection and construction operations using written procedures, instructions, codes, and standards, while coordinating with the operating staff.
- Monitor conformance of contractors and subcontractors personnel with respect to submitted Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Plans, as well as other applicable codes and standards.
- Prepare and upload daily job progress reports using Primavera Contract Management (PCM) software.
- Coordinate, schedule, witness, and upload all necessary inspections, including those required by the NYC Department of Buildings.
- Review general construction shop drawings.
- Advise the Project Manager of any construction problems and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor coordination of the construction contractors activities to avoid interruption of ongoing plant operations.
- Assist in the review of monthly payment requisitions by monitoring construction contractors activities.
- Review the construction contractors schedule and monitor adherence.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection and document control in engineering, construction management, or construction industries.
- Experience in large multidiscipline construction projects with emphasis on wastewater, HVAC, and electrical projects.
- Proficiency in project management, construction management, site development, and wastewater treatment.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering.
- Familiarity with Primavera software.
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
- Experience in design and wastewater treatment facility projects.
- Experience with wastewater systems.
