Staff Electrical Engineer
Job Description

The Staff R&D Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting product testing, sub-system/component qualification, and design, while actively participating in various cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and troubleshoot electronic boards, focusing on PCB design using Altium.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to determine design control requirements for tool design, including fixtures, prototypes, and subsystems.
  • Generate evidence to qualify designs according to established standards.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations through proper documentation.
  • Operate within an ISO-certified Quality Management System (QMS).
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering and circuit design.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electronic components.
  • Expertise in PCB design using Altium.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO standards.
  • Familiarity with FDA documentation requirements.
  • Experience with JAMA, JIRA, and IEC standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the medical device industry or 6 years with a Master's degree.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
Work Environment

This position is based onsite in Santa Clara, operating Monday to Friday with flexible start times between 7am and 9am. The role requires an 8-hour shift in a state-of-the-art facility, dedicated to developing innovative electronic products.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $69.00 - $79.00/hr.
