Construction Estimator

A well-established and highly respected general contractor in your area is looking to add a Construction Estimator to its growing team. With over a century of experience, this company is known for delivering complex and community-driven projects across a variety of sectors including education, public sector, and municipal construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and complete estimates for assigned projects, including detailed quantity takeoffs.

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope and cost parameters.

• Lead the full estimating process for specific bids/projects, coordinating with team members and stakeholders.

• Maintain organized documentation and pricing history to support estimate figures.

• Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather and validate project data.

• Evaluate and recommend design options based on cost, material availability, and constructability.

• Solicit pricing from subcontractors and suppliers; attend outreach events to identify new partnerships.

• Track awarded contracts, support procurement, and manage estimating follow-up such as change orders and extras.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field OR 4–7+ years of relevant estimating experience.

• Experience performing takeoffs and pricing for concrete, earthwork, and related scopes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software; strong spreadsheet skills required.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to lead estimating efforts and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
