We have a great team atmosphere and family type culture that makes one want to stay and contribute to the success of Asphalt Busters.POSITION SCOPEThe position Equipment Mechanic is responsible for setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on company vehicles and equipment. The position requires you to operate a variety of hand/power tools and working with pickup trucks, trailers, small and large pavement reclamation equipment, diesel trucks and trailers, and other Company equipment. Work will predominantly be in the shop with occasional on job site repairs if needed with a fully-equipped maintenance truck. Night shift work, travel, weekend work, and overtime will depend on the priority of tasks needing to be completed.Job Requirements:2-3 years of previous experience performing vehicle and equipment maintenance.Welding experience. If not be willing to learn how.Owning a set of mechanics tools to bring to the shop is a plus.Valid Drivers License.2 Forms of ID.Pass a DOT Physical.Ability to pass a controlled substance test for pre-employment purposes.Must be hard-working, dependable, and able to meet the physical demand.Have a reliable means of transportation to and from work.Be proficient in communication skills.Knowledge, skills, abilities & physical requirementsProvides emergency/unscheduled repairs of operations equipment during operations and performs scheduled maintenance on vehicles and equipment.Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles and equipment.Performs inspections of vehicles and equipment.Prepares and sets up equipment daily use by crew members.Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of and production machines.Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Benefits:Local and RegionalWeekly paySick/Holiday payMedical, Dental, Vision & Life benefits offered after 60 days.Asphalt Busters is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
