Job Description Civil Construction Field Foreman

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 Annually
Location: Auburn, WA
Reports To: Civil Construction Superintendent, Civil Division Manager Position Overview

A Advanced Septic and Construction Services is hiring a Civil Construction Field Foreman to lead field operations on civil projects. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and expertise in grading, excavation, and slope calculation. You'll manage crews, subcontractors, site safety, and ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily field operations and assign crew tasks
• Track project progress, schedules, and budget
• Maintain daily reports and communicate with leadership
• Ensure quality control, site safety, and compliance
• Conduct site inspections and weekly safety meetings
• Train and mentor field staff in excavation, utilities, and equipment use
• Calculate slopes and grades using GPS, laser levels, and rotator lasers
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers

Requirements

Experience:

• 5+ years in construction, 3+ years in a supervisory role
• Storm, sewer, and water pipe installation
• Heavy equipment operation (e.g., excavators)

Skills:

• Team leadership, communication, and training
• OSHA knowledge and ditch safety compliance
• Slope/grading calculations and layout tools proficiency
• Strong work ethic and safety-first mindset

Certifications & Licenses:

• Valid CDL (required), CDL A preferred

• Clean MVR
• Must pass background check and drug test

Physical:

• Lift up to 90lbs
• Work in all weather conditions
• Available for emergency/after-hours repairs
