**Job Description**
Join a thriving company in Mechanicsburg as a forklift operator specializing in order selecting. You will operate a sit-down forklift to select both large and small engines for loading, utilizing push/pull methods and teamwork when necessary. Additionally, you may receive training on high-reach forklifts, but your primary duty will involve sit-down forklift operations. Your keen attention to detail will be vital as you verify and pick items using order sheets. You will also be responsible for staging and wrapping pallets off the lift.
**Responsibilities**
+ Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or designated areas.
+ Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
+ Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
+ Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing stations or shipping.
+ Mark materials with identifying information.
+ Open bales, crates, and other containers.
+ Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
+ Operate forklift to transport stored items from shelves to package area for shipment.
+ Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and push up to 25 lbs.
+ Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Forklift/PIT operating experience with sit-down or stand-up lifts.
+ Experience in order selecting.
+ Strong attention to detail.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Prior forklift and warehouse selecting experience.
+ No high school diploma or GED required.

Work in a smaller warehouse environment with a total of 13 employees, fostering a close-knit team atmosphere. The position is for the 1st shift from 8am to 5pm, including a 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Some overtime may be required occasionally. Safety is paramount, with a focus on using team assistance and proper lifting techniques. The role involves both forklift operation and manual tasks such as staging and wrapping pallets, as well as occasional motor re-boxing. The motors can range from 5 to 200 pounds, and employees are advised not to lift anything over 40 pounds by themselves.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
