This role requires strong communication and technical skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Must have the ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities. You’ll collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver safe, timely, and customer-focused solutions. Must complete the CPC Training Program within the allowable time schedule. A solid understanding of utility standards and relevant portions of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) needed. This position establishes and maintains good community relations, maintains relationships with contacts in the utility industry and internal stakeholders. Experience in electric utility design, project coordination and familiarity with overhead and underground distribution systems preferred. Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Requirements CPC I: Starting Range: $74,610.72 - $96,621, Full Range: $74,611 - $118,631- High School diploma, GED, or Journeyman card required.
- Zero to two years of direct work experience directly related to GIS, planning, and/or designing construction of natural gas facilities with an emphasis in customer service is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Demonstrated skills in cooperating in a team environment, negotiation, problem solving, construction management, and excellent communication skills.
- Qualified applicants will have basic computer skills, ability to learn computer applications for construction design, and ability to interpret and explain complex business processes and concepts.
- Strong working knowledge of key operation business process and core applications desired.
- Requires valid driver's license and must be able to travel to job sites throughout Avista service territory.

- College Level Degree, Journeyman Card or equivalent education and experience.
- Three+ years work experience directly related to planning and designing of electric facilities with an emphasis in customer service.
Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane, Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with an additional day determined by the employee and manager.
