Performs basic low impact side projects for the BESS Estimating Manager and Director of Estimating such as cost analysis, time studies, etc. Works with BESS Lead Estimator to maintain document control. Reviews all estimating departmental reports while developing estimating acumen. Participates in capturing team meetings and client meetings. Estimates small portions of the overall estimate under close supervision. Travels to projects to understand Primoris' high level of project completion; develop relationships with site personnel and perform time studies. Collaborates in reviewing project/client documents. Provides support as needed for various tasks as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Prefer BS degree in a business or engineering disciplined program. Preference given for experience in Solar, Renewable Energy, Energy Storage, or Power Generation. Minimum of 0-2 years' experience estimating industrial electrical construction projects. Working knowledge of personal computers and software applications with MS office application proficiency. Demonstrated skills in written communications; ability to compose basic as well as complex technical documents, formal letters, invoices. Demonstrated skills in oral communications; ability to make presentations to large, diverse groups. Proven success in developing and maintaining internal and external relationships while effectively navigating organizational barriers. Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills. Working knowledge of project accounting practices and financial systems. General understanding of Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus and Unit contract pricing mechanisms. Working knowledge of the techniques needed to lead and influence others in a matrix organization.
