Performing, installing, maintaining and calibring both electronic and pneumic controls such as relays, humidist's, temperure controls, solenoid valves, chiller wer valves, steam valves and other components used in conjunction with air conditioning, refrigerion and heing systems.

Utilizing vibrion analyzers, electronic thermometers, hydro thermograph recorders, metal brakes, Bridgeport machines, hydraulic punches and riveters, multimeters, etc. to carry out duties.

Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installion, overhaul, calibrion, modificion, and repair to a variety of domestic, commercial, industrial and specialized heing, ventiling, air conditioning and refrigerion equipment and systems.

Installing and service electric motors from 1/6 HP to 40 HP commonly used on air conditioning, refrigerion, heing and exhaust systems.

Making adjustments and recording all findings such as compressor temperures, wer temperures, oil pressures, and other informion pertinent to the safe and efficient operion of all equipment.

Work Schedule: M-F 7:00 am to 3:30pm

Physical Requirements:

Strenuous physical effort is required while dismantling and reassembling equipment. The incumbent frequently carries and sets up parts and equipment th weigh up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting of 100 pound with assistance with other employees or equipment. The incumbent must work from ladders, scaffolding, etc., where parts of systems worked on are frequently in hard to reach places. Stooping, stretching, bending, and kneeling are frequently encountered for long periods of time. Hand dexterity is a critical requirement in completing most tasks.

Working Conditions:

Incumbent must be mentally alert and physically capable all times, as this type of work is very hard and hazardous. The incumbent works both inside and outside of the Medical Center and is required to work on roof tops of single and multiple storied buildings and work in cramped areas with low overheads and noise. The incumbent is subject to exposure from toxic refrigerants. Incumbent will be required to wear personal protective equipment while performing certain tasks.
