Are you an experienced heavy equipment mechanic ready to take on a leadership role? A well-established company in the Knoxville, TN area is seeking a skilled professional to lead their team. In this position, you'll be responsible for guiding other mechanics in troubleshooting, welding and fabrication, and all aspects of maintenance and repair to ensure the company's operations run smoothly. We're looking for candidates with a proven background in working on diesel-powered heavy equipment within the earth-moving, drilling, or mining industries. salary: $72,000 - $93,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of heavy equipment maintenance, including but not limited to: hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, transmissions and gearboxes, electrical and wiring, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
  • Ability to weld and fabricate pieces as needed
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, schematics and other technical documentation
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve complex mechanical issues and knowledge of diagnostic and other tooling
  • Lead and train other mechanics


The essential functions of this role include:
  • wearing steel toe shoes
  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment
  • manual lifting up to 75lbs
  • standing for 9 hours at one time
