Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic analyzes malfunctions and repairs, and rebuilds and maintains power equipment, such as tractors, mowers, cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools.

• Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoist and hand tools.
• Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
• Develop parts and materials lists for needed repairs.
• Replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions.
• Test overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency.
• Welds broken parts and structural members.
• May direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
• May repair, adjust and maintain 2-cycle motors and equipment.
• Oversee equipment operators in the performance of daily routine maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 5 years experience with like and similar equipment
• Valid Drivers License
• High School Graduate or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
