Senior Preconstruction Manager – Commercial Construction

About the Opportunity:

We are actively seeking a skilled Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction efforts on a wide range of commercial construction projects. This individual will be responsible for delivering accurate estimates, collaborating with design and operations teams, and ensuring the successful handoff of projects into construction.

Responsibilities of the Senior Preconstruction Manager:

• Manage all phases of the preconstruction process , from initial client engagement through GMP development

• Oversee preparation of detailed estimates, budgets, and schedules for commercial projects including healthcare, education, industrial, and tenant improvement

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients and design teams during the preconstruction phase

• Lead bid efforts by coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate market pricing

• Provide value engineering recommendations and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project goals

• Mentor and support junior estimators and other preconstruction team members

• Work closely with the executive team to align estimates with business and client objectives

Qualifications for the Senior Preconstruction Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

• 7+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years as a Senior Preconstruction Manager or similar leadership role

• Strong knowledge of estimating software (e.g., OST, Bluebeam, Sage, BuildingConnected)

• Experience working with conceptual estimates, design-build, and negotiated projects

• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
