STV is seeking an experienced Federal Programs Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in federal contracting to serve our growing federal practice. This position is needed in Pennsylvania and can be located in either our Philadelphia or Douglassville offices.
The selected candidate must have experience leading several multi-discipline project teams (including subconsultants) concurrently.
Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to a Project Director developing and overseeing project deliverables, financial metrics and ensuring client satisfaction and program criteria are met with a high level of performance.
- Successfully participate in STV Project Management training. Regularly interface with technical discipline leaders to ensure project delivery is in alignment with client expectations.
- Manage all elements of project work including scope development, qualifications and proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, budgeting, scheduling, staff management, design coordination, change management, cost estimating, bidding support, construction administration, cost control, project communications and documentation, and cash management.
- Develop and enhance client relationships; serve as the primary company contact; and deliver quality projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client and according to internal standards and policies.
- Administer relevant aspects of a formal quality program including performing quality checking and ensuring the quality program is adhered to.
- Provide leadership to project teams and facilitate collective problem-solving efforts to find solutions to complex project challenges in fast paced environments.
- Manage project schedules and deliverables in compliance with project goals to meet financial profit targets.
- Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally (approximately 10-15% of time) and pass client required background checks as applicable to obtain credentials for classified document handling and secure facilities access.
Qualifications/Attributes:
The Successful candidate possesses most of the following:
- Bachelors degree. Preference will be given to industry specific Masters degree.
- Licensed Architect or Engineer with reciprocity capability. PMP certification is considered a preferred qualification, but not a requirement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including proficiency in writing technical reports and project correspondence.
- 10+ years experience working on and/or managing diverse local and national projects.
- Proposal negotiation experience.
- Experience in creating/managing Quality Assurance / Quality Control Plans.
- A proven record of team leadership and coordination with discipline leaders, fellow Project Managers, and corporate/government leadership.
- Adaptability, resourcefulness, and ability to apply knowledge and experience to varying business situations while representing the best interests of the company.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple clients at varying stages of design and/or construction completion.
- Experience with MS Office Suite software including scheduling software (MS Project). AutoCAD/Revit and Deltek experience is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship with an active drivers license with REAL ID and ability to obtain a U.S. Passport.
Compensation Range:
