Safety Supervisor**

**Job Description**

As a Safety Supervisor, you will plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will ensure adherence to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. This role involves planning and executing programs to train managers and employees in workplace safety practices, fire prevention, and proper handling techniques for materials and equipment. Additionally, you will prepare studies and analyses of industrial accident causes and health hazards to assist company personnel and external agencies.

**Responsibilities**

+ Inspect organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures, and follow up to ensure implementation.

+ Provide information, signs, posters, barriers, and materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards.

+ Lead the investigation of accidents and injuries, and cooperate in the preparation of material and evidence for organizational use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.

+ Compile and submit accident reports required by regulatory agencies.

+ Prepare and arrange safety exhibits and material for display at promotional events, industry conferences, and exhibitions.

**Essential Skills**

+ Expertise in safety training and OSHA compliance.

+ Proficiency in conducting safety audits and inspections.

+ Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and procedures.

+ Strong knowledge of OSHA 30 regulations and EHS compliance.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience in site safety management.

+ Familiarity with safety procedures and programs.

**Work Environment**

The position operates primarily during the day shift from 6am to 2:30pm and involves both outdoor work and office settings. The environment is industrial, featuring the use of cranes and large equipment for cutting, bending, welding, painting, and forming steel. The company specializes in manufacturing large steel fabrications for commercial and industrial construction, including beams, stairs, and railings. Be prepared for exposure to varying weather conditions, as well as a noisy and industrial atmosphere. Effective communication with office personnel, production workers, fabricators, managers, leads, and supervisors is essential.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
