A Day in the Life

The Senior Market Development Manager owns the expansion of the Touch Surgery ecosystem into new markets and specialties. To succeed in this individual contributor role, this individual will need deep product knowledge paired with strong business acumen for each target market and an ability to work globally to form close partnerships. This position will report to the Director Global Downstream Marketing, Digital Technologies.

Onsite - this position is based in either Boston, MA or Lafayette, CO.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Partner with regional marketers to identify and quantify new market opportunities and provide forecasting input.

  • Works closely with Region Led Markets and OU Led Markets to share best practices to accelerate technology adoption and supports developing the market through barrier resolution.

  • Create launch playbooks for use in new and existing markets.

  • Design and manage milestones to advance countries towards launch.

  • Represent marketing in order-to-cash commercial operations planning activities.

  • Partner with regional marketers to customize existing marketing and training materials to the region.

  • Lead and manage regular regional and global team meetings to provide updates, understand obstacles and share successes.

  • Provide Global Upstream Marketing team with VOC research into regional nuances in customer requirements.

  • Work with regional partners to evaluate the ROI for launching in a region or specialty.

  • Work with Key Opinion Leaders and societies in regions on market development efforts (includes conferences and campaigns).

  • Works closely with communications and other internal partners on market development strategies.

  • Presents to various audiences, including customers, sales, and other internal audiences as a compelling and dynamic speaker with the ability to inspire and persuade.

  • Works closely with the sales force, Medtronic customers, regional product marketing, and product development teams to understand commercialization challenges, prioritize strategies and lead changes.

  • Supports regional partners with global conference strategy and tactics.

  • Domestic and international travel up to 30%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experiencewith a Bachelor's degree,or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • MBA preferred

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong financial forecasting skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience leading marketing and market development work

  • Experience with order-to-cash activities to support commercial transactions

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$127,200.00 - $190,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
