Maintenance Technician - Electrician/Plumber
Location: Administration Office
Reports to: Director of Buildings and Grounds
Schedule: 12 months (260 days, per contract)
6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Monday through Friday
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 Depending on experience
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of successful maintenance experience in a school district, commercial facility, or similar setting
Responsibilities:
Manages day-to-day maintenance and repair of all district electrical, temperature control and plumbing systems
Implements basic understanding of HVAC systems, usage of HVAC controls, and basic troubleshooting
Schedules and implements preventive maintenance of all electrical and plumbing systems
Provides input for the District's ten-year capital improvement program
Supports the maintenance of school and district equipment by performing basic repairs and scheduled maintenance
Procures repair parts and necessary equipment for the smooth operation of school district facilities
Works with the IT Department on the installation and maintenance of district security systems
Monitors building security systems and assure proper operation
Assists with snow removal tasks in the winter season
Inspects all facilities prior to the start of school day to assure proper operation of all heating and ventilation controls and electrical systems
Assumes the responsibility for the implementation of other tasks assigned by the Director of Operations
Is on call to respond to emergencies, regardless of the time of occurrence
Safety Requirements:
- Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper use of tools and power equipment used in the performance of electrical work
Additional Duties:
Performs other related tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors or management
May be required to assist with projects or respond to operational needs outside of normal responsibilities

Travel Requirements:
- This position may require travel between multiple school locations and central office site.
Licenses or Certifications:
Valid Drivers License
- State Electrical License (E-1 Master License preferred but not required)
