We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales / Project Manager to join our team in the heavy structural steel fabrication industry . This dynamic role includes full-cycle responsibilities across Bidding, Estimating, Sales, Customer Service, and Project Management . The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales and estimating within a fabrication or industrial environment and be comfortable managing multiple accounts and projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate cost estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
Coordinate with customers to understand their needs and provide timely, professional responses to inquiries and RFQs.
Generate quotes and bids using ERP software (Global Shop Solutions experience preferred).
Support the Outside Sales team by qualifying leads and identifying opportunities for additional product and service offerings.
Enter and manage customer orders, ensuring all specifications, timelines, and delivery expectations are met.
Coordinate internally with engineering, production, and QC to ensure successful project execution.
Maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication, timely updates, and proactive issue resolution.
Track and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables from award to closeout.
Solicit and respond to customer feedback to continuously improve service and product offerings.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in estimating, B2B inside sales, or project management within a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of steel fabrication processes, materials, and estimating practices.
Proficiency in ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions preferred) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
College degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
