Project Engineer
Job Description

An Electrical Integration company is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from bid to design to closeout, with project values ranging from 12k to 8 million. A strong understanding of electrical power equipment, PLCs, VFDs, electrical gears, and electrical codes is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to manage projects from initial bidding through to design and project closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards.
  • Conduct load and heat calculations in accordance with UL 508A compliance.
  • Design and oversee control panel layouts and wiring.
  • Perform integration testing and ensure project specifications are met.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and designers on project tasks.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Electrical Engineering and control panel design.
  • Expertise in low voltage distribution and motor control hardware.
  • Experience with project management in the water and electric utility sectors.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, control panel wiring, and electrical instrumentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent design experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Experience in designing or working with electrical power equipment, PLCs, VFDs, and electrical gears.
  • Water or wastewater experience is preferred.
Work Environment

You will work within a collaborative team of 3 other Project Engineers and one CAD designer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $120000.00/hr.
