SAP TM - Functional Architect

Position: SAP TM - Functional Architect

Location: Remote | 40% travel required (T&E reimbursed), travel may be to client sites in Boston, MA (primary) or OH.

Hours: Candidate MUST be available to work in EST or CST hours

Experience: 10-15+ years

We are seeking an experienced Functional Architect with 10-15+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP TM-Subcontracting & Tndrng SAP TM-Freight Cost Mgmt & Settle and SAP TM-Transportation Planning. This role involves working in a hybrid model during day shifts focusing on optimizing our transportation management processes.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, architecture and implementation of SAP TM solutions to enhance transportation management processes.

Oversee the integration of SAP TM module with SD, MM, EWM and ensuring seamless operation and data flow.

Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.

Deep expertise in key TM functionalities such as Transportation Planning, Carrier Selection, Freight Orders, and Freight Charge Calculation is essential.

Develop strategies for effective SAP TM-Freight CostMgmt & Settlement to manage and settle freight costs efficiently.

Implement SAP TM-Transportation Planning solutions to improve transportation planning and execution.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SAP TM solutions with business objectives.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for SAP TM.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in SAP TM implementations.

Monitor and evaluate the performance of SAP TM solutions recommending improvements as needed.

Support development of training materials

Conduct training (TTT) sessions for key-users to enhance their understanding of SAP TM functionalities.

Support the development of business cases for SAP TM enhancements and upgrades.

Qualifications

Possess extensive experience in SAP TM-Transportation Planning , Carrier Selection, SAP TM-Subcontracting & Tndrng SAP TM-Freight CostMgmt&Settle.

Demonstrate strong domain knowledge in Manufacturing and Supply Chain with a good understanding of Finance & Accounting.

Life Science and/ or Pharma or Chemical industry implementation experience required

Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work model.

Show proficiency in translating complex business requirements into effective SAP TM solutions.

Have a proven track record of successful SAP TM implementations and optimizations.

Display strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.
