Our client, a leader in the engineering sector, is seeking a Sr. Engineering Technician to join their team. As a Sr. Engineering Technician, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid work ethic, which will align successfully with the organization.
Job Title: Sr. Engineering Technician
Location: West Columbia, South Carolina
Pay Range: $62,400 - $93,600
What's the Job?
- Field observation and documentation of construction activities for structures, roads, utilities, and other construction elements.
- Testing of construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, and masonry.
- Collecting data, maintaining, and troubleshooting instrumentation.
- Performing laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, materials, and concrete.
- Preparing reports documenting observations and test results while communicating effectively with contractors and engineers.
What's Needed?
- Prior experience on construction projects (5+ years preferred).
- High School degree or higher.
- Technician certification (ACI, ICC, SCDOT, or AASHTO) or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Excellent mathematical computational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
