Industrial Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for performing routine preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial equipment within a food processing plant. This position requires the candidate to conduct repairs on various machinery such as gear boxes, motors, and hydraulic systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine preventative maintenance on industrial equipment.
+ Conduct reactive maintenance and repairs on gear boxes, motors, and hydraulic systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
+ Utilize hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
+ Interpret blueprints and schematics for maintenance procedures.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of industrial maintenance or mechanical experience.
+ Experience with preventative maintenance procedures.
+ Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience in a food processing plant is a plus.
+ Experience with repair welding.
+ Knowledge of forklifts, bucket trucks, and scissor lifts.
**Work Environment**
The role is based in a food processing plant, requiring interaction with various industrial equipment. The environment involves working with advanced machinery and technologies, ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paris, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
