Job Description Join a prestigious Fortune 500 company as part of a confidential, multiyear initiative tailored for experienced Structural Design professionals. The Designer will play a pivotal role in providing drafting and detailing support for the structural design of the Reactor Building, from the preliminary phase through to the construction documents. Responsibilities
- Prepare 3D Revit structural models and 2D drawings and details of structural building systems.
- Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 3D models, 2D cross sections, section details, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of a structural discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy and strategy.
- Apply knowledge of structural drafting and design best practices, including interfaces with mechanical piping, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Design activity will require knowledge of design principles and drafting procedures.
- Work with BIM coordinator to manage and issue models in Autodesk Construction Cloud tool while enforcing configuration management plans.
- Support Civil Structural Team in 3D modeling using tools such as Navisworks and Revit.
- Proficiency in Revit and Autodesk suite of tools.
- Structural design and analysis expertise.
- Ability to use technical experience and analytical thinking to make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of structural engineering and civil engineering principles.
- An Associate's degree in Structural Design or similar, with 3 years of experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry, or similar sectors.
- Alternatively, at least 5 years of relevant work experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry, or similar sectors.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using Revit for structural modeling.
- Experience managing project work schedules and priorities.
- Ability to work proactively with engineering teams to develop 3D models using Autodesk Tool suite (Revit).
- Competency in computer programs and software such as Microsoft products and Microsoft Teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Revit family creation.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor, BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Autodesk Vault is a plus.
