As Senior Project Manager, you will be part of a leadership team dedicated to providing world class service to our clients by leading the day-to-day management of the project. You will create a project plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, and resources required to achieve the projects goals. The Senior Project Manager will communicate with the project stakeholders, manage risk and monitor progress against the schedule. Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for and dedication to getting the job done.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting

  • Have thorough knowledge of the company's contracts and understanding of all parties involved

  • Secure required permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors

  • Facilitate project meetings to successfully coordinate work activity

  • Lead, train, and develop project team members

  • Prepare and submit monthly job status reports that outline project priorities and issues

  • Lead project close-out of project; including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner, engineering, and design firms

  • Establish a deadline and monitor the progress of the project

  • Participate in proposals and presentations as requested

  • Drive a culture of safety on the project site

  • Support the companys acquisition of new work by participating in proposals and presentations

  • Provide leadership to foster an environment of inclusion and diversity

  • Proactively identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate and win the right work

  • Take an active role in recruiting top industry talent to join the Clark team. Identify, hire, and retain outstanding people

  • Exceed our stakeholders expectations by anticipating their needs, desires, and goals

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline or relevant work experience

  • 7+ years of construction experience required; working for a general contractor on large scale construction projects is highly preferred.

  • 4+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams

  • Understanding of the strategic, operational, and financial components of a construction project

  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions

  • Experience managing projects successfully from start to finish

  • Skilled at developing and negotiating relationships with owners and trade contractors

  • Strong work ethic, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment

Physical Demands

The physical demands described below are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role, which often involves both office and construction site environments. This role requires the ability to navigate active construction areas, including uneven terrain, stairs (temporary and permanent), ladders, and personnel hoists. Frequent standing and walking are typical. The employee must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The role also involves regular reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, pushing, and pulling. Visual acuity (including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus) is necessary for tasks such as reading plans, inspecting work, and ensuring safety. At times, this role involves sedentary work requiring prolonged sitting, utilizing hands for fine motor activities such as typing, writing, and manipulating objects. Effective communication through talking and hearing, as well as visual acuity for tasks like reading, computer use, and reviewing documents (including close, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus), are essential. The employee may occasionally work at heights and in confined spaces.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role. The employee will frequently work on active construction sites, which may involve exposure to moving mechanical equipment, elevated or hazardous areas, airborne particles or fumes, and varying outdoor weather conditions. The noise level on construction sites is typically moderate to loud. The employee will also spend time in office environments with quiet to moderate noise levels. Due to the nature of the projects, deadlines, and clients requirements, the role frequently requires working more than 40 hours per week. All employees are required to adhere to Clark Constructions safety policies, procedures, and all applicable laws, adapting to the specific requirements of each work environment.
