JOB DESCRIPTION

Mod Center Technician

Job Summary

The Mod Center Technician will play a critical role in producing high-quality electrical panel enclosures and subpanels. Using advanced Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) machining equipment, youll transform metal, plastic, and other materials into precision parts based on CAD models and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, wiring schematics, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function utilizing CAD software.
  • Load raw materials and parts into machines; set up tools and verify correct operation.
  • Make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed rate, and tool paths to meet specifications.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the machining process to ensure defect-free products.
  • Inspect final products to confirm they meet all required specifications.
  • Maintain equipment by completing routine preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Record production and quality data as required.
  • Assist in wiring enclosures per engineering documents and work instructions.
  • Communicate issues that arise to the Team Lead.

Qualifications

  • 12 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
  • Experience with CAD software is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of standard and metric measuring systems.
  • Some experience with hand tool, power toolsincluding but not limited to drills, jig saws, wireway/din rail cutters, grinders, knockout punches, band saws, deburring tool, etc.
  • Computer skills such as using Microsoft Office and CAD Software
  • Strong math skills with spatial reasoning and ability to interpret dimensions, measurements, and layouts accurately.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
  • Capable of maneuvering enclosures exceeding 100 lbs with hoist assistance.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, twisting, and climbing ladders.
