Lead Mechanical Engineer (WA PE License Required Hybrid/Field Role)
Location: Washington State (Only WA residents with current Mechanical PE license will be considered)

A Washington-based engineering firm is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee service contracts, provide technical leadership, and manage client relationships across multiple counties. This hybrid position includes fieldwork, project coordination, and business development responsibilities.
Applicants must be current Washington State residents with an active Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage client service contracts and technician performance
Conduct site visits, inspections, and troubleshoot field issues
Coordinate with dispatch on technician scheduling
Oversee billing and follow up with clients on outstanding payments
Attend 2 industry networking events per month
Provide technical guidance on mechanical design and construction projects
Prepare contract documents and specifications
Requirements:
Active WA State Mechanical PE license (required)
7+ years of experience in mechanical design or field service
Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
Strong communication and project coordination skills
Physically able to perform site visits, including ladder climbing
Self-starter able to manage priorities independently
