Job Title: Mechanical Integrity Engineer - Pressure Vessels

Location: Tulsa, OK (Hybrid: On-site + Remote)

Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

Job Description:

We're supporting a client in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in their search for a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to assist with a regulatory-driven review and update of pressure vessel engineering specifications. The client owns over 10,000 vesselssome dating back to the 1940s and 1950swhich must now be evaluated to align with modern safety standards.

This position will start with 2-3 weeks fully on-site, then transition to a hybrid schedule (on-site Monday-Thursday, remote on Fridays).

The focus is on engineering validationnot third-party inspectionswith an emphasis on ASME Section VIII and API 510 / 570 compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Review historical pressure vessel designs and identify gaps relative to current regulations.

Validate and update engineering specifications in line with ASME Section VIII and API 510/570 standards.

Work closely with internal engineering and mechanical integrity teamsno third-party inspections involved.

Support long-term planning and tracking of vessel evaluations.

Utilize PCMS or Compress software if experienced (a plus, not required).

Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering (Civil and Electrical will not be considered).

Strong knowledge of pressure vessel design and applicable ASME/API codes.

Experience with ASME Section VIII, API 510, and API 570.

Familiarity with PCMS or Compress is a plus.

No PE license required.

Willingness to work on-site full-time for the initial ramp-up period.

Additional Details:

Project timeline is 12 months with a high likelihood of extension based on vessel review schedules.

Most vessels are petroleum-based, though some handle air or liquid products.
