**Job Description**

Are you ready to take your mechanical skills to the next level? Join our team as a **Fabricator** , where you'll help construct industrial-sized mixers used in consumer goods manufacturing. Whether you're a seasoned welder or just getting started, we offer training to sharpen your MIG and TIG welding skills and grow your expertise in CNC operations and fabrication

**Responsibilities**

+ Assist in laying out and constructing mixer frames and chassis.

+ Perform MIG and TIG welding on metal components.

+ Operate and maintain a CNC high-definition plasma burn table.

+ Cut, bend, and prepare steel materials for fabrication projects.

+ Conduct weekly inventory cycle counts and manage steel stock levels.

+ Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly label steel racks.

+ Use hand tools and equipment like blade press, drill press, miter saw, and more.

+ Read blueprints and fabricate components with precision and attention to detail.

+ Apply welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) to meet quality standards.

**Essential Skills**

+ 1 year of experience in welding.

+ 1 year of experience in mechanic/hands-on work.

+ Ability to read blueprints.

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience with CNC, blueprint reading, assembly, mechanical work, and welding.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and tape measures.

+ Experience in mechanical assembly and fabrication in a machine shop environment.

**Work Environment**

Work in a clean machine shop as part of a team. The primary shift is from 5 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. An additional shift is available from Friday through Sunday, with 36 hours worked but paid for 40 hours, from 5 am to 5:30 pm. There are currently four openings for this shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, Iowa.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
