Field Welding Foreman Must live within 45 minutes of Harris, MN 55032 $40-$50/hour | Full-Time | On-Site We're looking for a Field Welding Foreman to lead our steel fabrication and installation teams in the field. If you're a skilled welder with a strong background in leadership, this is your opportunity to take ownership of complex builds while ensuring top-tier quality and safety. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires field experience, welding expertise, and the ability to manage crews and job site operations from start to finish. What You'll Do: Lead and supervise on-site welding and installation crews Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and coach team members to ensure efficient, high-quality work Perform field welding using SMAW (Stick), FCAW (Flux-Core), and MIG on structural and miscellaneous steel Interpret blueprints and technical drawings; solve challenges in real-time Communicate directly with project managers, engineers, and clients to align site execution with project goals Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident environment Conduct quality checks to ensure welds and installations meet AWS standards Manage materials, tools, and equipment on-site-including inventory, maintenance, and procurement Mentor junior welders and installers to build team capabilities Report job progress and issues to upper management What We're Looking For: 5+ years in a foreman or leadership role in steel fabrication/installation Must be able to pass AWS stick welding test on 1" plate (SMAW) Familiarity with DOT health card requirements Experience operating forklifts and skid steers Comfortable towing trailers and handling job site logistics Strong communication and project coordination skills Proven track record of safe, on-time, and high-quality project delivery Preferred Qualifications: AWS D1.1 Certification (Preferred but not required) Strong organizational and reporting skills Job Type & Compensation: Full-Time | $40-$50/hour , depending on experience On-site, field-based work (no remote options) Local candidates only - must live within 45 minutes of Harris, MN Benefits: 401(k) Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off Employee discounts Flexible schedule options If you're a confident leader who thrives in the field and takes pride in high-caliber welds and installations, we want to hear from you.
