We are continually looking for outstanding talent to join our extraordinary group of employees! * Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3am-1pm (Occasional Fridays)* Summary of Position: The Meat Grinding Tech operates various machinery in the grinding department of the meat production room reporting to the 1st Shift Meat Production Supervisor. This position supports the grinding department produce various bulk and portioned ground meats. Responsibilities Successfully complete grinding equipment training within 60 days of hire. Understand product raw material identification and handling. Understand and execute assigned daily workload safely, accurately, on-time, and on-budget. Actively offer feedback and suggestions for improvement to the Meat Grinding Lead or the 1st Shift Meat Production Supervisor. Embrace and understand the data driven approach utilized in the meat production room. Be a daily supporter of Fortune's mission/vision/values. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Ability to read and interpret documents such as schedule, work instructions, safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions. Ability to calculate basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to communicate with room leaders (written and verbal). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours, when needed. Previous machine operating experience preferred. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities. Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Crouching: Bending body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles. Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palms. Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound. Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause workers to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
