Senior Hydraulic Engineer

The firm’s dynamic Water Resources Group is seeking a full-time Senior Hydraulics Engineer. As a Sr Water Resources Project Manager, you would be responsible for leading strategic pursuits and proposal efforts, build client relationships, and manage projects including conceptual studies, preliminary design, and final design plans.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hydraulic Design: Conduct and support hydraulic analysis, design, reporting, permitting, and quality assurance for a variety of project @types.
- Project Management: Effectively manage complex hydraulic design projects.
- Staff Supervision: Assist with mentoring and nurturing staff in a respectful manner which promotes growth and team unity.
- Group Growth: Assist the group leadership in developing and implementing a strategic growth plan including short- and long-term action plans and financial goals.
- Client Relationships: Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
- Marketing: Identify and actively pursue project opportunities resulting in securing work, particularly in new markets.
Desired Experience:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
- 10+ years of water resources project management experience.
- Demonstrated ability in supervisory and team building skills.
- Preferred experience in one or more of the following: stormwater management planning and design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, hydraulic infrastructure analysis and design, roadway or transit system layout and design, water quality, wetland science, channel restoration, and permitting.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
- Experience leading proposal management and development.
- Demonstrated success in business development and client management.
- 1D riverine modeling proficiency.
- 2D riverine modeling proficiency.
- Strong analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills.
