Industrial Maintenance Technician (commercial/industrial food processing equipment)
**Extensive domestic travel and some international travel required**

ABL has several customers located throughout the US and continues to grow. This position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of ABL equipment located at the customers processing facilities/plants. This is a very important position as it has significant face to face contact with ABL customers.
What you will do:
Extensive travel required to include (approximates):
- 50% travel to Shelby, MI (day travel)
- 25% travel to other US states (overnight travel from 4-14 days per project)
- 5% travel to Italy for training and development (1-2 times per for 1-2 weeks per session)
Perform repairs, overhauls, preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment to ensure full customer satisfaction regarding equipment performance and service.
Troubleshoot equipment problems to reduce productivity losses.
Implement long term corrective actions to avoid repeat issues.
Maintain spare parts inventory to support production and customer needs while maintaining budget and inventory objectives.
Document and report machine performance, corrective actions, maintenance activities, parts utilization, and inventory to achieve efficiency and regular operation of equipment.
Follow all standard work procedures, safety regulations, and policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and any shift to meet business demands.
Follows proper safety procedures and safeguards others safety at all times, understanding the obligation to refuse to perform any tasks that are unsafe.
Maintains work assigned area or normal working area so that it is clean and orderly.
Assist others in need and help to improve their skills.
Accept all other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions (full list available):
Capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting up 50 pounds
Capable of standing and walking up to 12 hours a day
Capable of climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder height
Capable of working in hot, humid, wet, refrigerated, and freezer environments up to 12 hours per day.
What it will take to be successful:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Advanced mechanical-electrical skills and knowledge
5 or more years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial equipment
Experience working with hand tools
Ability to train machine operators once installation has been completed
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
Ability to work under pressure with a high degree of professionalism and customer service
Ability to work efficiently and with little to no direct supervision or alone
Must be able to read mechanical drawings (layouts, assembly drawings) and electrical schematics
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)
Must be able to work with Windows (Outlook, Excel, Word & Power Point)
Must be able to work and assist customer technicians via remote Teleservice tools such as WhatsApp, Webex
