Job Description

Primary duty will be to assist with Statewide Bridge Safety Inspections. Roughly 90% of time will be spent in field inspecting various types of bridges. Secondary duties may include assisting with the Dam Inspection Program and Bridge Maintenance Program activities. A CDL Cass B license is required to be obtained within the first year of hire. Also, you will be required to attend and successfully pass the NHI Two-Week Comprehensive Bridge Safety Inspection Course (course will be paid for by the Department).

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Engineering/Planning/Surveying Technician I

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

Bridge Management; Construction Inspection; Construction Estimating:

Knowledge of applied mathematical computations.

Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
