Sr. Architect for Global Studio is responsible for end-to-end technical strategy and technical designs in partnership with Global Enterprise Architecture. This role will work across Aon Solution Lines to design and govern all technical solutioning designs meet Aon TOGAF Standards. .

What the day will look like

  • Lead the architectural design and development of a new client portal, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Develop and implement a shared services architecture to optimize resource utilization and enhance system scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, ensuring best practices in software design and architecture are followed.
  • Conduct architectural reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the architecture and design of the client portal.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into the architecture.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to present architectural plans, progress updates, and technical challenges.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 8+ years of architecture experience, preferably in a global organization, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML, data platforms, infrastructure, or related fields.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Architect or similar role, with a focus on building client portals and shared services architecture.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools, like Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Location Flexibility: Based virtually in US, with occasional travel to global offices as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $132,600 to $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
