Job Title: Architectural Project Manager
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an Architectural Project Manager, where you will utilize your expertise in REVIT and construction documents to lead architectural projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned projects, working closely with senior project managers or partners. Your role will involve overseeing assistant project managers, conducting project analysis, and managing design concepts from inception through completion.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of assigned projects.
- Collaborate with senior project managers or partners.
- Analyze project context, building materials, and precedents.
- Conceptualize and develop preliminary design plans, sections, and elevations.
- Create 3D visualizations of design concepts.
- Conduct project site planning and zoning/local code analysis.
- Perform building code analysis and application.
- Design and detail architectural systems and components for buildings.
- Interpret drawings, technical documentation, schematics, and reports.
- Attend meetings with owners, clients, and consultants.
- Assist in developing technical documentation, proposals, and presentations.
- Coordinate project designs with other disciplines.
- Participate in in-house engineering design and drawing (C, S, M, E, P).
- Communicate design requirements with contractors and clients.
- Execute architectural studies and design analyses using industry software.
- Conduct project site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance.
- Learn and adhere to company technical policies and procedures.
- Develop project designs using drafting tools, equipment, and software.
- Perform activities consistent with ethical standards.
- Attend in-house training sessions for technical knowledge.
- Under supervision, perform and document engineering calculations and system design.
Essential Skills
- 3-8 years of experience in mixed-use multi-family projects.
- Proficiency in REVIT.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in drafting and redlining construction documents and drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Design Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, structures, systems, construction materials, and specifications.
- Leadership abilities and the ability to manage team assignments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Architecture; licensure is a plus.
- Experience with mixed-use and/or multi-family projects.
- A demonstrated ability to learn the basics of design and analyses.
Work Environment
Our firm is an A&E company with a vibrant and youthful culture. We have a team of 40-50 employees, including a full staff of MEP/Structural/Civil engineers. Our work environment is characterized by fun and engaging office activities, with most staff having under 10 years of experience. We offer hybrid flexibility with up to two days remote work. Our work hours typically start at 8 AM, with employees expected to manage their workload independently without a time clock. We specialize in mixed-use, affordable housing, and market-rate multi-family projects, and we encourage our team members to pursue professional licensure.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
