Civil Superintendent (Earthwork & Utilities)

Position: Civil Superintendent Industry: Civil Construction / Underground Utilities / Excavation Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee crews on a variety of excavation, earthwork, and underground utility projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of field supervision experience managing crews on projects involving earthwork, grading, stormwater systems, sanitary and water utilities, and general site development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate field crews on excavation, earthwork, and underground utility projects

• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements

• Manage schedules, resources, and equipment to meet project milestones

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve field issues

• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain accurate project documentation

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure all crew members follow OSHA and company safety standards

• Mentor and provide guidance to crew leads and field staff

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a superintendent or field supervisor in excavation, earthwork, and underground utility projects

• Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, grading, and utility installation

• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Commitment to safety and quality standards
